TAPP is proud to spearhead a baseline study on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Malawi as part of the FAO’s ECTAD Project. The study focuses on three key areas: mapping animal diseases, analyzing the veterinary drug supply chain, and assessing knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to antimicrobial resistance and use.
This week, 20 professionals, including animal health, public health, and environmental officers, completed a two-day AMR training facilitated by TAPP. These trained participants will conduct a nationwide survey for this study across all regions of Malawi.
This initiative highlights TAPP's commitment to combating AMR and addressing critical One Health challenges in Malawi.
